The Minnesota Immigrant Freedom Network is a grassroots, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose mission is to fix the broken immigration system in this country. Our strategies include grass-roots community organizing, media justice work, immigrant leadership development, bipartisan legislative work, popular education, civic engagement and using art as a catalyst for social change. The MIFN is also the leading advocacy organization behind the Mn Dream Act, a community effort to gain in-state tuition for all students, regardless of their citizenship status. Although we are a young organization, our creative and successful organizing projects along with the dynamic growth of the immigrant rights movement have positioned us in the heart of a burgeoning movement.
